The band’s third album for Warner Bros. (and 8th overall) is a moody masterpiece. “Man On The Moon” became a smash radio hit and was accompanied by an award-winning video clip. Several other songs were released as singles (“Drive,” “The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite,” “Everybody Hurts,” and “Find The River”), all of which helped Automatic For The People become one of the best-selling R.E.M. albums.
